[Rdxa-bod] Board Meeting at K2DB's QTH

The decision to host BoD meetings on Tuesdays, basically boxed me out.  I have a concert band rehearsal those evenings and as first trumpet cannot miss those.  I have taken on the duties of Membership chairman and kept the spreadsheet of members up to date. 



It is looking like I really cannot perform that function as I have been in the past.  I have not been at BoD meetings and have not been able to attend general meetings.  I have not been proactive in getting our membership numbers on the increase. 



To my comments in the past, I would like to say that I am a member of a national club who's membership renewals depend on the member, not the membership chairman.  They are well over 4000 strong.  If I have upset board members with my comments, I apologize.  It is the way I feel.   It would be really cool if the club moved the entire membership duty to the website.  People go there to renew, hook up a database on the backside to record that renewal .  Put a membership "card" available for the person to print out. 



I would like to relinquish the position of membership chairman.  I feel it will better serve the club with someone in this position who is able to to the job without the time constraints as I have.  Please discuss this at the next BoD meeting.  I will continue in my current capacity until my replacement is found.

As for changing the meeting from Tuesday to Wednesday, you know where I 

Stand on that point. TUESDAYS only, as decided by the BOD over a year ago, 

If someone cannot attend, especially if NOT on the BOD, why change the meeting. 

That is what accountability means. !!! 

Sorry if I sound pissy, but the same thing comes up all the time, and I am personally 

quite perturbed that it continues to happen. 

So here we go, the meeting will be at my house on Tuesday at 7:00 PM.

I cc’d Carey, Ken and Chris on this. I think it would be good for them to attend as 

we need to discuss the membership appointment and see what is going on with Carey. 

(Several of you expressed displeasure with one of his replies, we need to see what is 

going on and straighten it out.) 

Chris and Ken should at least send us an e-mail and let us know what is going on with 

The Contest and DX chairmen slots if they cannot attend. 

There, someone took the lead !!!

Brent was recently furnished with a new address for the NYQP Certificate 


the Post Office returned as Undeliverable, and it has been re-mailed.

seen any response nor action as yet.  Remember, this all began last Thurs. 


when I decided to contact K2CS and was informed he had a conflict on Tues. 


but could host it Wed. instead.   Most replied Tuesday was better so we're
