Hey Brent,
We've had the question kicked around at BOD meetings before. So here is my
2c...

Membership has its privileges...(apologies to amex) Your $20 gets you:
-Exclusive membership in one of the oldest and most respected(?) medium
sized DX and contesting clubs in the US!
-An affiliated ARRL club for more than 60 years, The RDXA has over 70
members experienced in all aspects of ham radio including but not limited to
DXing and contesting, every mode used in ham radio, antennas and equipment,
etc, etc. like the web site says, if its done in ham radio its done in RDXA!
-Monthly meetings showcasing great programs on everything in ham radio, by
some of the most highly respected amateurs in the country.
-Access to a great newsletter relating to all aspects of ham radio with
great articles written and contributed by members about everything in ham
radio.
-Access to an email reflector with a constant stream of ham knowledge, Q&A,
DX spots, and an unlimited supply of witty banter!
-Sponsorship of two web sites with a wealth of information and links to
everything to do with DXing, contesting, technical references and members
pages. It also boasts a contest score grid for members, a calendar of
events and meeting and program information and a separate site just for the
NYQP.
-Sponsorship and management of the newly resurrected and highly respected NY
State QSO party after a 30 year hiatus.
-Club sponsorship of DXpeditions to locations on the current "50 most wanted
list"
-Club participation in many local ham related activities including but not
limited to: ARRL Field Day, where RDXA has boasted many top finishes over
the years including number 1, the Rochester Hamfest, the RMSC science and
technology fair, local operating events and many, many contesting events.
-Weekly and seasonal social gatherings that have been enjoyed by local hams
for well over 20 years!
-AND your very own membership card, soon to be printed by you in the comfort
of your own home!

Did I miss anything??

Good afternoon,

As part of my duties as the membership chair I have been developing a letter
to previous members to attempt to regain them as members. I was sharing my
thoughts with my xyl as a sounding board. She ok sounds like a good idea,
how much is membership, I said $20.00. She said ok as a potential new member
what do I get for $20.00, she said you need to tell them what they get for
there money. I didn't have an answer short of a membership card. She laughed
and said you may want to figure this out before you send out this e-mail. I
can see her point, I can still be your friends, skip a membership card and
save $20.00. So my question is to you as members what do we offer to entise
membership?

Thanks
Brent
