Yep, it never fails,

The 80 meter antenna rope on the tower for the pulley broke, and the entire
antenna is all down and twisted thru all the tree limbs, a total
reconstruction job is in the works.

No, I am not climbing the tower, (no one to be a safety watch) this one is
going back up in the top of the pine trees, with the help of the fishing
pole !!

As always, getting ready for SS never goes as planned.

A check of the 80 & 160 antennas shows SWR's over 4 to 1 (Normally below
1.25 to 1 at 1.840 and 3.525)

The beam survived, so I am good to go on 40 thru 10 (SWR's are NORMAL)

That light breeze we had yesterday may have had something to do with it.

It is dark, raining and cold (44 F) now.

Oh well, at least I have until 5:00 to go out, find the problems and get it
fixed !

Now time for some more Java and wait for rain to STOP !
