Speaking for the CW disabled ham population:
Cost of SignaLink USB $84.
Proper CAT cable for SignaLink. $14
Cost of 4 year old PC with XP. $200.
Cost of serial port card to interface with Radio. $13
Cost of monitor found at end of driveway of neighbor. $0
Total Cost to enter digital modes PSK-31 (varicode, small bandwidth, like Morse) and RTTY: $311
Value of FCC Enabling Entry into Amateur Community, and technology, not having learned CW as a teenager?
Priceless.
